The annual orchestral academy of the deutsch-französisches forum junger kunst Bayreuth is placing its focus this year on chamber music.
As part of the 150th anniversary of the Bayreuth Festival, the programme includes not only works by Richard Wagner but also the chamber music version of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.
For the first time, Ina Stoertzenbach, a young and innovative German female conductor, will lead the international project orchestra.
The closing concert, which will take place on 30 April 2026 at the newly inaugurated Friedrichsforum in the city of Bayreuth, will mark the highlight of this academy.
Instrumentation: 5 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, 1 double bass | 1 flute, 1 oboe, 1 clarinet, 2 horns, 1 trumpet, 1 harp, 1 timpani / 1 percussion, 1 piano

A scholarship is available for all musicians residing in Hungary from any nationality, covering registration fees and travel costs thanks to the Deutsch-Ungarisches Jugendwerk/ Magyar-Német Ifjúságért Egyesület.
